Youth Campout

While staying at the YWAM base here in Switzerland we had the awesome privilege one weekend to help out at a youth campout.  4 of my other teammates and me volunteered to help and we were so excited to get out into the woods and camp :) The youth group was a sweet mix of kids. Since Geneva is such an international city with lots of world NGO's headquartered here as well as the UN, there are many international kids here. This church was made up of lots of children from the states and UK who are now living in Switzerland due to their parents jobs. They ranged in age from 9-16 though you could barely tell. They were one big family it seemed and the older ones were willing to play with the younger ones and what not. They were such wonderful kids.. we played countless games of capture the flag. and man were they competitive! Probably didn't help that we had brother and sister as opposing captains leading the teams. Friday night we had worship and hot chocolate around the fire and then Saturday we endured the fog and rain and played various team field games.. as well as made up team cheers. I was on the team of the "Red Hot Chili Walnuts" ..yeah, we kicked butt ;) a week later we visited the kids again at their church for youth group. So thankful to have been able to meet them all, spend time with them, and camp out in the beautiful Suisse woods :)

they're stoked to camp ;)
