INSPIRATION or INSPIRED literally means : GOD BREATHED

I read this in my bible one day and loved it. Its so fitting that it would mean that because God breathed everything into existence and its what we SEE and feel that inspires us. Here is a list of some things that have inspired me or spoken to me over outreach so far... I hope they speak to you as well :)

Where God leads he will provide, he will not put something in your heart unless he' serious, he means it, we will guide you

..and he will come, riding on a cloud with justice in his heart... he is faithful till the end...

We wait and hope for the Lord; hr is our help and our shield, in his our hearts rejoice. For we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us O Lord, even as we put our hope in you PSALM 33:20-22

I dont want to talk about you like your not in the room....I wanna look right at you I wanna sing right to you...

We all have a song inside of us, a song we sing to the Lord, but that song may be buried deep because it hasn't been sung for awhile. Take you prayers and your praises and form them into a song. YOUR song, expressing YOUR LOVE to the father, abba, daddy we worship you...

"You did not choose me but I first chose YOU..the lord will fight for you you only need to be still...but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness..."
john 15:16 exodus 14:14 matthew 6:33

I John: bringing distorted word back to their original meaning
GOD is LIGHT so walk in light
GOD is SPIRIT so worship his in spirit
GOD is LOVe so demonstrate that love to others

Many are the plans in a man's heart but the Lord's purpose prevails..." Proverbs 19:22

Kingdom of God/Kingdom of heaven:
Where ever God is reigning and the people experiencing that reign
(I LOVE this definition!)

this book is INCREDIBLE! and I highly encourage you to read it!! :)
..excerpts from book..
"...Lukewarm people will serve God and others but there are limits to how far they will go or how much time, money, and energy they are willing to give.." (luke 18:21-25)
"...Lukewarm people think about life on earth much more often than eternity in heaven. Daily lifeis mostly focused on todays to-do lists, this weeks schedule, and next month's vacation. Rarely, if ever, do they intently consider the life to come.." (Phil 3:18-20) (Col: 3:2)
"...Lukewarm people are moved by stories and people who do radical things for christ, yet they do not act. They assume such action is for "extream" Christians, not average ones. Lukewarm people call "radical" what Jesus expected or all His followers..." (James 1:22) (James 4:17)

hope this post was encouraging as well as challenging. much love from the Philippines! :)

Cagayan-Tuguegaraou

We are now here at our final location for outreach. We are staying at Pastor Samson and Rowena Catolos's house with their beautiful two daughters 16 and 18 :) we are sleeping on his living room floor, I love their home and the surrounding baranguy (small town). We are about 20minutes outside the big city of Tuguegarou. The area here is so peaceful, and very kept-up, each house has sweet little wooden fences and some even have small yards, roads are half paved half dirt and they're "taxis" are these horse drawn carriages, which I was able to drive! The driver sat next to me and the few words I could make out him saying were uh-oh and uhh ok hah I think my driving scared him haha. We have been visiting about one church a day, sharing testimonies and playing songs. We've also done some door to door ministry, sitting and talking with families and praying with them, the first time we did it, it was really weird and frustrating, the lady leading us around took us from house to house we stayed as one big group and we only stayed there for 5 minutes max and prayed and went on to the next one. No relationships were built and I don't even think they understood what we were saying :( the second time we did it, in a different town, we split into two groups and the lady leading my group was super sweet and amazing at translating for us. We only went to about 5 houses in 1 1/2 hours. We spent time getting to know the people, praying for specific needs and sharing verses with them. We even got to share the Gospel at one house. It was so much better and I felt Gods direction in it so much more. Another thing we are doing while staying here is a radio ministry! Sunday afternoons from two till three is our slot. This past Sunday I played two worship songs while 3 of my friends joined me in singing..it was sort of nerve-racking consider 50,000 people tune into this christian station! haha God certainly has a sense of humor..he has been growing me alot in the area of worship and though i've made a fool of myself more than once it really doesn't matter how you sound, and me being worship leader for our team and church services we visit has certainly been a stretch but its been good. Also on the radio we shared a few testimonies and one of us shared a 20 minutes message/word. Next sunday I volunteered to share the word so pray for me as I prepare what to say over the radio! Sometime this week we will be speaking in a school in addition to churches. We went to the mayor today and got his approval to speak in a public school. Friday nights they have this youth night at one of the churches where tons of youth come. We went last week and it was awesome! It felt like we were at a Hillsong united concert haha the worship team was incredible and they had lights and played a lot of Hillsong. It was a nice switch from the typical Filipino service and was fun to jump around and worship. The youth night is actually run by an American man from Washington. We shared some testimonies there and plan on going back every Friday and participating. On Sept 6th we leave for a week with pastor Samson into atribe.
The other night us girls lets Pastor Samson wife have the night off and we cooked dinner :) its was so fun and very delicious :) Also we were blessed to find out that one of the church members a few houses down has WIFI so internet will be a little closer to us tho I still don't how often we will be able to go over and use it. Team is doing great but there is sickness going around. The people we are staying with have coughs and fevers and its started spreading onto us. Please pray for health!!, right now my friend Daniella has a very high fever :/ but otherwise we are doing well. :) Tim, one of the members of our team was adopted from the Philippines and we have been having lots of fun "marrying" him off at different places we visit :) all you have to do is mention he's part Philippine, single and looking for a wife and the ladies go running for their daughters! haha, embarrassing for him but hilarious for us to watch :)

DONATEbutton! is up on the team blog! if your interested in donating to the book we have just made to help end prostitution in the Philippines, please go to this link and help donate! or pass it along to someone who you know might be interested in helping the cause :) thankyou!

im still alive I promise :)

dear blog readers I apologize for my absence :/ the internet situation has been few and far between and when we do get connection its extremely slow :( I am currently at an internet cafe enjoying a delicious smoothie and fries a nice break from the normal rice, beans and chicken :)

So on Wednesday August 4th we left the restoration house in Olongapo that we were staying a and drove about 9 hours by bus to Bombang, here is one of the open air buses we were in, it was so retro and sweet! :) in Bombang we stayed at Aurua Bible college teaching a mini dts to the students. We spoke morning and afternoon sessions for two day and participated in the campus activities. The students were so sweet and fun to hangout with. Saturday morning we headed out to the "tribes" (more like very rural villages) (our contacts who took us everywhere)
(one of the houses we stayed in and our lovely nets :) (Banaue rice field terraces.. 8th wonder of the world)

We moved around to different house and church, we only stayed in a location for about two days, so we visited LOTS of different churches. We shared testimonies mostly as well as preached some sermons and did a dance and skit we had learned. Some of the places were hours apart so it was lots of traveling and speaking and meeting new people who you couldn't really spend time with anyway :/ so that was hard but it was lots of fun and we were able to have lots of cool experiences. I loved being out in the country rural parts of the Philippines. The view and landscapes were amazing!! so incredible beautiful Gods majesty reigned so much it was amazing. I sat on a water buffalo, dyed my hair brown ;) , walked across a swinging bridge, rode on top of a jeepney during a pouring rain storm while two wild horses run in front, took in some of the most beautiful sites, saw rice terraces after rice terrace, met some sweet Ifugao un-moderized tribal people still in their traditional garb, ate coconut feshly chopped down..I witnessed the guy shimmy up the tree and chop it haha, slept on many MANY different floors and church pews and did my business on a few squatty potties, and drank wayyy to much coffee :) oh the life of a missionary. I LOVE IT! so fun, never a dull moment, God grace and blessings become so apparent as well as his joy being my strength. and the Lord's humor, ..never gets old :) One thing I enjoyed about going to all the different church was just worshiping with so many different believers here in the Philippines, they are so heartfelt in their worship. Singing as loud as they can, dancing, always clapping, its so much fun :) Right now we are taking two days to rest in Banaue its one of the first villages we went to and we liked it so much we decided to come back for two days. The weather is nice and cool and Thursday we head out for the 10 hour drive to Tugigurao our last and final outreach location. Apparently its the hottest place in the Philippines haha :/ sorry this blog is rushed and a little vague, I don't have much time to write. Thanks for reading and for all your prayers!

The Book...

..those two words consumed us for the past month. the book. haha its pretty much all we worked on. But the challenges and teamwork that went into it grew us as a team so much more. It was such a wonderful process. The Lords hand was in it all. None of us have experience making a book but each of us ended up knowing a little something that contributed perfect to the process of making this all possible. Choosing the title was one of the most difficult decisions but once we finally narrowed it down to about 5 we all prayed and most everybody got the same title... so, after days of putting it off, we finally had a title for our book :)
[ Exposed. revealing worth. ]
is the title :) The book is 75 pages and starts off by explaining what prostitution is and shares some statistics and facts about prostitution in the Philippines and then goes into personal stories of people we have interviewed and then talks about poverty and education and the cycle of why these girls get involved in this
. Finally we have a hope section telling the girl's dreams and providing information about certain organizations that help aid women coming out of the bars and the streets. The book ends with a challenge and a call to prayer. It amazing how it all came together and I am so proud of our team for putting it together in the 3 short weeks we had. I'm super excited to bring the book home and help spread awareness. We have really good connections in the Philippines and God provided us with an amazing publisher who has said that the book is pretty much guaranteed to be in 4 major bookstores in the Philippines! We will be doing some distribution in the Philippines and then taking them home with us and speaking in churches and spreading the book there as well. It's looking like this book could really take off with the right push. so exciting :D! here as some photos of us working on the book..we spent hours in one room staring at a projector making layouts and revising stories and sifting through photos. Never would I have thought that i'd be making a book, and looking around you almost have to laugh at the random group if rif-rafs from all over the world sitting around making a book. It a privileged knowing God is using us to help change such a huge issue. we are still needing to fund-raise about 6,000 dollars to print the books and we are in the process of putting a donate button on our team blog .. PHILIPPINES TEAM you can also check the blog for a more detailed description of the book and what all we need as far a prayer. It's been such an amazing time learning to make this, definitely challenging having a room of 11 artist all giving their opinions but in the end what we produced what such a team effort and im thankful for the challenges that we had for they helped us to grow as a team :) We are now at our Next location doing some different ministry and the rough draft of the book is sent away to our PhotogenX graphic designer in Kona to assemble so its nice to have a break from hours of book book book haha you really almost had a different look on the world while making the book because you were always thinking about whether that shot would be a good photo for the book or the girl your talking to in the bar, whether what she's sharing to you would be beneficial for the book. Its nice to have a break from that and not feel like whenever you go out to talk to someone you have an agenda :) But like I said before I am SO excited to bring it home and see it printed :D

Thank you for your prayers, please continue to pray for the book as it is still in the works, and pray for the hearts of those who will be seeing it and that this book can help fight the social injustice of prostitution in the Philippines. thank you!
